Our Receptionist/Front Desk position is one of the most important roles in the Clinic.  Our front desk workers are the quarterback for our team.  This person must be very organized, super friendly, able to multi-task, self-motivated, communicate well with others, and work well under pressure.  This position is fast paced and an "on your feet" 90% of the day type of job.  Responsibilities include answering the phone, making appointments, admitting and discharging patients, financial transactions, computer operations, routing clients, assistants, technicians, and doctors to the proper rooms, preparation and maintenance of medical records, filing, sorting mail, faxing documents, general household cleaning, and many other tasks, including direct care of animals and occasional weekend kennel work that is shared with other employees.  Some heavy lifting is required.  Prior experience is preferred, especially experience in the veterinary field.  If this sounds like you, we would love for you to submit your application for our review. Veterinary Assistants work under the supervision of our doctors and  licensed veterinary technicians. They are all purpose employees who cross train to learn most responsibilities in the clinic.  Assistants work one on one with clients and their pets as well as with the doctors in handling animals  Some responsibilities include care and restraint of animals, preparing supplies and equipment for exams, treatments, and surgery, assisting with x-rays, lab test, and surgeries, general household cleaning, stocking and replenishing shelves, cleaning dog runs and cat cages, as well as learning front desk responsibilities to be able to admit and discharge patients and help with answering the phone and scheduling appointments.  All of our staff help with the kennels in walking animals and caring for their needs.   Assistants are utilized where the help is needed.  Applicants need to be friendly, able to get along well with others, accept instruction well and able to work well with or without immediate supervision. Some heavy lifting is required. And some weekend work is required.

  

Licensed Veterinary Technicians are responsible for assisting the doctors and supervising the veterinary assistants.  Additional duties include: obtaining and running laboratory samples, taking radiographs, client communication, surgical assisting and anesthesia monitoring, pharmacy, operation and maintenance of instruments and equipment, inventory, and daily treatment of hospitalized patients.  Proficiency in performing minor medical procedures such as IV catheter placement, bandaging, and dental prophylaxis is also expected.  Some heavy lifting is required.  Applicants must have a degree in animal health technology from a school approved by the Georgia Veterinary Medical Licensing Board or a school recognized by the American Veterinary Medical Association.  Applicants must be eligible and/or currently registered with the Georgia Veterinary Medical Licensing Board.  Please note: some weekend work is required.

  

All of our staff rotate weekends.

Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Saturdays - 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

(No Dr. Hours on Saturday or Sunday)
